Our Staff
Company founder Ju Yang is a native of Beijing where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in History and English Literature. She received government diplomas allowing her to become a local and national tour guide for English-speaking tourists to China. A born traveler with an adventurous spirit, Ju came to know her native country to an uncommon degree in the course of her meanderings. After more than a decade of living in Australia, going back and forth to Asia, Ju has a strong understanding of Western cultural preferences, giving her clients the best of both worlds – the true Asian experience tempered to Western tastes. She fully appreciates that logic, balance and easy pacing are necessary to make touring a fun, enlightening and enriching experience - rather than numbing days of tramping from sight to site. Says Ju, “I believe there is always a place in the market for a company like ours. We provide our clients with expertise, up-to-the-minute knowledge of destinations and personalized service to ensure they experience the trip of a lifetime.”
General Manager for North America Judy Berry is a seasoned travel professional with 20 plus years experience leading and sending groups to Asia, Europe, Indonesia, Central America and North America. Her enthusiasm and attention to detail have resulted in hundreds of satisfied travelers. Judy is delighted to offer clients specialized itineraries such as garden tours, horticultural tours, eco-travel and special interest tours for professional groups. Says Judy: “Our goal is to exceed each traveler’s expectations with uniformly excellent service and unwavering professionalism.”
Our reservationists and itinerary planners are at your service. They can put together marvelous itineraries to multiple destinations in China, Cambodia and Vietnam. Many of them are Asian natives, and all of them have personally inspected the many options available to you on a J Yang Tour!
Your local tour guide, driver and support personnel can make or break your travel experience. We pride ourselves on hiring the best. Our guides, who average between 25 and 35 years of age, are all government-licensed with excellent English language skills and 5-10 years experience in the field. Our drivers are well trained professionals with excellent safety records. They will transport you in comfortable, well-maintained, air conditioned vehicles so that you can concentrate on the view, not the road! Our detail-oriented local support personnel have been working with us for years. They understand that we never compromise our tours and always want the client to receive the best value for money.
